Traps
For on-farm surveillance, we use APSEC’s own light-suction traps. For management programmes, we work with Midge-Free-Zone to supply the most suitable trapping solution.
Air Barriers
The Barrfly midge and mosquito barrier uses air curtain technology to keep midges and mosquitoes from tracking carbon dioxide plumes giving off by humans. It can be used discretely around any outdoor area, be it permanent or an event gazebo to provide an insect-free zone. We work closely with Innovent (Scotland) Ltd. who created the Barrfly and can incorpate it into management programmes as required.
